Next meeting - March 8, 2012

The next meeting of the London Friendship Quilt Guild will be held Thursday, March 8th, 2012 at St. George's Church on Dundas Street at 7:00 p.m. Our guest speaker will be Kathy Wagner and her trunk show is entitled, "Replenishing the Well - Quilting & Creativity". Kathy keeps a blog here. She always has interesting things to share on her blog and we are in for a treat at our guild!

Friday, March 9th, Kathy will be teaching a class on Miniature Scraps at St. George's Church from 9:00 a.m. (not 8:00 :-) - 4:00 p.m. There are still a few spaces left for the workshop, so you can still sign up. See post on the workshop here which includes a link for signup. Bring your lunch or pop out at noon to pick something up.

It is getting closer to that time of the year when volunteers are needed to fill executive positions for the guild. If you would love to get involved with the guild and join the enthusiastic ladies on the executive, please speak to Pauline Radley. She would love to hear from you! No experience necessary.

On April 21st, Mibsie Booth will be doing a workshop on a simple bag. Signups will be available at the meeting. This would be a wonderful class to take with a young quilter - your daughter, niece, young neighbour, friend.....or perhaps your Mom or Aunt!

March 24th, 2012 - Quilts of Valour workshop - led by Christine Rachar at St. George's Church 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Bring a lunch or pop out at lunch to purchase one.

Participants will be given a copy of the pattern to take home with them.
