Susan Purney Mark at the LFQG March meeting

Susan Purney Mark was our guest speaker at the March meeting of the LFQG. She told the story of her quilting journey and pattern business and had lots of quilts to show! Here is Susan sharing with the guild:

One of Susan's quilts with appliqued leaves:

Shattered Gardens. Susan also taught a workshop on a variation of this quilt.

At the break, we were able to purchase Susan's patterns and books:

The library ladies hard at work :-) and our President, Rose:

The Kid's quilt area is buzzing with activity and new quilts which were ready to donate:

Lots of leaf bowls arrived for donation to the CQA:

The registration table is always a busy place!

Gail handed out copies of the revised constitution for all the members to read. We will vote on the amendments at the annual general meeting in May. Copies will be available at the next meeting as well.

More photos here. And here are the postcards which showed up at the March meeting:

I decied to come to this meeting and I am so happy I did. I really enjoyed the evening with Susan and her quilts. Just beautiful.
I ended up joing the guild again. I use to belong when I lived in London but when I moved to the country winter driving was a pain. so I cut all ties to the city. I am glad to be back renewing friendships I have missed.
Thanks for this blog.. Keeps one in the picture..
xoxo
