Guest Speaker: Beverly White
Currently residing in Port Elgin, she is an artist and photographer, who has been quilting since 1990. Interested in all aspects of quilting, focusing on crazy quilts and art quilts. She has also been involved in curating and organizing juried exhibitions of fabric art. She has also taught at the Southampton Art School.

UFO Madness:
We will be offering 2 chances to get together and finish those UFO's! Saturday, October 27th and Saturday, November 24th, 9-4. The cost for each is $10.00 and it is bring your own lunch! Payment is due upon registration! This is a good time to work on those Christmas presents!

Fabric Postcards:
If you didn't get a postcard made in time for last month's meeting, don't fret! We will have a postcard swap every meeting this year! So drop one off in the mailbox at the meeting and receive one back in your mailbox at home delivered by Canada Post! see August 2nd post.

Secret Notion: Seam ripper
Don't forget these items will net you tickets for the fat quarter draw: Secret Notion, Chatelaine, Name Tag, and bring your own Beverage (there will be no snack provided at this meeting).

Quilt Accomplishments!
We would like to congratulate the following for taking home ribbons from the Western Fair for their quilts and crafts:

Linda G:
1st Place: Quilt that tells a Story

2nd Place: Large quilt, hand quilted. Linda has donated this quilt to be raffled to raise money for the Faith Tilk Memorial foundation. The raffle will be held on October 20. Linda will keep us posted on its progress. Way to go!
